Default Different Weapon stats in PvE/PvP

Well I tried doing a search for this and nothing came up so....

Anyway, its been said that weapons have the stats that they do because balance needs to be kept in PvP. However, why can't we have different stats for weapons in pve and pvp? That way, selling weapons wouldn't just be for the skins but now there are also stats you can look at...like mmm

Longbow of Fortitude
Damage : 21-34 (Req. 9 Marksmanship)
Health +34

However, what that player enters PvP with that character, it will change so that the damage returns to

Longbow of Fortitude
Damage : 15-28 (Req. 9 Marksmanship)
Health +30

That way PvE weapons won't be all about skins and people entering PvP won't be going in without max weapons...even more balanced? =/

Only problem I can see is people just taking +29 health weapons into PvP and it becoming +30 and...faction unlocks for those would be not so useful anymore...

Oh well, is there something wrong with this that it cannot be done or... x.x

PvP and PvE both need to be kept balanced. If they did this, they would then also have to change the stats on all the monsters to match so the game wouldn't be too easy. Ultimately, it would just be a waste of the devs' time.

As they changed all the monsters, the weapons would have the same relative effectiveness as before(the precise meaning of balance >_<). All this would achieve is bigger numbers on the description of your weapon that amount to being the same as they are now.

Although this will never happen lol, i think it would be awesome. minor tweaks to high lvl weapons wouldnt make the game TOO easy but would give us something to strive for. personally, i dont give a DAMN what my weapon looks like, but id be willing to shuck out big bucks for a weapon thats slightly above average.
about the "is something wrong with this..." im NOT a programmer lol but i have a feeling coding weapons to change when entering PvP or PvE might not be the easiest thing... PLUS, this would make it so that people with little cash couldnt get the best stuff, which goes against the Anet bible or something. PERSONALLY, i would LOVE it. Anet has now officially DESTROYED everything USEFUL that you could strive for, and i kinda want something to use my time on(except going through each game with 9 chars...sorry anet the storylines great but not THAT great) but HEY great idea man

would be absolute chaos.

and what Sith said, the monsters would need to be rebalanced as well, resulting in the same amount of hits needed till the monster dies.

This is the DBZ phenomenon. Make the good guy stronger to beat enemy A -> enemy B must be stronger -> make good guy stronger to beat enemy B -> enemy C must be stronger -> make good guy stronger to beat enemy C -> enemy D must be ...

Furthermore, practical rewards for grind are exactly what GW was designed to discourage. Player skill > uber equipment has always been one of the underlying mantras of GW design.

yeah I know GW was made with the mantra of discouraging grind... BUT IMHO they have taken it a BIT too far. Theyve taken out everything that gives you something to DO with your time... which i think is gonna bite them in the @$$. they took away all the grind that gave you something like money or weapons or anything and they gave us sunspear points...THAAAAANNNKKKSS. THATS the kinda grind i DONT want. im fine farming for money. but having to kill hundreds of random things to continue from quest to quest is just annoying imo. so im hoping eventually they give us SOMETHING to do. It doesnt have to be crucial or anything, just something to keep us busy
